As acting Telecommunications and Information Systems Supervisor (T&IS) for the Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) head quarters in Virginia, my day-to-day responsibilities where in supervising corporate head quarters network operations and database application development and when activated: Or within 4 hours notice, I was responsible for assembling and supervising surprise drills and real time emergencies that happened anywhere on North American soil and sea.  As rapid response Telecommunications & Information Systems Supervisor I participated in drills and real emergencies from coast to North American coast.

While working for MSRC, at almost any cost, during a call-out it was my team’s responsibility to provide and sustain as quickly as possible the vital on scene telecommunications between our client(s),

Government agencies, Coast Guard and local communities being affected by the emergency spill or practice drill at hand.  Most of my field teams were comprised of inactive Special Forces and retired oil industry communications personnel.

Prior to MSRC and for nearly 7 years, I was the Network Manager for the Economist Group specialty magazine, Roll Call Newspaper covering Capitol Hill.  Under my technical direction Roll Call dramatically expanded its news coverage, web presence and profits to become its most successful ever.

With internal staff and outside contractors, I was responsible for the quality and service of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) servers, web servers and Business Continuity Preparedness (BCP). At Roll Call Newspaper I developed, maintained and supported a wider array of enterprise web site methods, reports and solutions in-house as you list in your skills and ability requirement’s statement.  Furtherance to this technical experience, I gained a wealth of knowledge about how our larger parent company’s Economist, CFO and The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU.com) more successfully operate.

Prior to joining Roll Call, I managed LAN Support Team Coordination for the Human Genome Research Project at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. While at NIH I was responsible for the teams of programmers and technicians responsible for supporting the Genome Project's Information Technology and application’s programming needs.  The Human Genome Project is widely regarded as charting the most significant scientific discovery, The Human Genome.

My career objective is to work with established firms where I can apply my technical skills enabling me to reach my full potential and realize the benefits of a productive association.

The Human Genome Project (HGP) was one of the great feats of exploration in history - an inward voyage of discovery rather than an outward exploration of the planet or the cosmos; an international research effort to sequence and map all of the genes - together known as the genome - of members of our species, Homo sapiens. Completed in April 2003, the HGP gave us the ability to, for the first time, to read nature's complete genetic blueprint for building a human being.
