Web Design

Fifteen solid years of experience working with Washington’s earliest Internet pioneers. Pictured an Apple 6150 WorkGroup server that was purchased from Uptime Computer Services & DigitalNation (Bruce Waldack).

Early on building web pages with Adobe PageMill, Adobe Acrobat and the other software that came bundled on this 6150. In 1996 a similar device would be bundled to become one of the 1st online PDF Proofing solutions. Prior to the Web, DirectPress Modern Lithography was  handling their client-proof approval(s) via FedEx overnight deliveries.  DirectPress was spending a lot of money and waiting on clients to return sign-offs (bluelines) that often confused press schedules.

This 6150 machine came bundled wit StarNine’s WebStar web serving software that we put out there using the blazing fast @home cable modem service offered through Jones Intercable in Alexandria, Virginia circa 1994.

We have experience working with the Washington area’s highest profile organizations, and media companies.

This screen shot was taken in 1993 from a NeXT computer. As one can see, there is not much of a difference between these windows and the appearance of today’s browsers.
